A leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer specializing in diabetes-related products seeks a dedicated Microbiology Lab Technician for their Quality Control Laboratory. The technician will assist with the daily operations of sample processing from multiple manufacturing plants and contract partners. Adherence to standard operating procedures and GMP guidelines is essential, and the role involves conducting bioburden and other microbial tests. Cross-training to support media preparation for testing and manufacturing is also part of the role.
Responsibilities
The position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with on-site work. There may be a possibility of working from 12 pm to 8 pm, though this is not yet confirmed. Flexibility to adapt to potential future weekend or second-shift needs is desirable. Currently, there is no requirement for weekend coverage.

- Conduct bioburden and various microbial tests as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures and GMP guidelines daily.
- Assist with the daily operations of sample processing from three manufacturing plants and contract partners.
- Support media preparation for testing and other manufacturing processes.
- Participate in hands-on training for bioburden testing and other tests as you master current skills.
- Proficiency in microbiology and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with microbiology testing, including endotoxin or bioburden tests.
- Familiarity with GMP practices from academic or industry settings.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs effectively.
- Experience in laboratory safety and operations.
- Previous laboratory exposure from academia or industry is beneficial.
- Quality control experience in a pharmaceutical or QC lab is a plus but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in the industry is advantageous.
