Position Responsibilities
- Implements delivery programs within budgetary guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
- Generates period-end revenue report. Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue.
- Reviews daily purchase orders to build optimal consolidations to achieve maximum revenue. Establishes Booked Freight Cost with vendors. Negotiates contract rates and conditions with carrier.
- Implements quality delivery initiatives and methods which meet the company's needs and the needs of the vendors/customers. Develops delivery strategies which are cost-effective and meet the necessary scheduling and time requirements. Qualifies carriers and maintains accurate rate, contract and insurance records.
- Administers "pallets owed" to vendor program.
- Administers claim recovery program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
