Job Description

Insight Global's client is a designer and manufacturer of parts for the DOD. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to come support their team in Naples, FL.

This position designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and product integration; conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Supports personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication. It is expected this person shall apply slip ring technology, and their understanding of the essential functions listed below to develop quick solutions to customers' needs and requirements. Exceptional application of technical principles, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Essential Functions

• Develop new products or determine how existing products can be modified to suit customers' needs.
• Prepare engineering analysis for projects including, preliminary designs, calculation, and reviews of
  
  

initial production runs of components and assemblies.

• Analyze data to determine feasibility of product proposals.
• Analyze equipment specification and performance requirements to determine which designs can be
  
  

produced using existing manufacturing process and methods.

• Assist in development of predictive component and product performance.
• Design components and assemblies using best feasibility and manufacturability methods.
• Provide innovative ideas for improvements to existing products.
• Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing, sales, and customers.
• Review and approve production travelers.
• Review engineering drawings for other engineers and approval sign-off.
• Mentor and train new engineers.
• Assist with supplier problems and machining/drawing inquiries.
• Complete all required trainings including but not limited to Security Awareness, Controlled
  
  

Unclassified Information (CUI), S.H.E (Safety, Health, and Environmental), Ethics, Anti-Slavery and

Human Trafficking, Quality and all performance/product related trainings.

• Adhere to ISO procedures and ISO compliance

Skills And Requirements

• 7 years of experience within mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years within DOD or government
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineer or something adjacent
• Aerospace experience STRONGLY preferred, if not aerospace, at least electro-mechanical experience
• Highly proficient in Engineering and Design software, both 2D and 3D (PTC Creo Parametric preferred)
• Experience with Commercial, Industrial, Aerospace, Medical, Military, Nuclear, and/or Space
