Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in thermal and fluid dynamics to design and optimize advanced cooling solutions for automotive and electronic systems. This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies such as fluid-cooled electronics and high-performance thermal management systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and document thermal and fluid system requirements.
• Design and validate cooling solutions using principles of conduction, convection, and radiation.
• Identify and select appropriate materials for thermal performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform fluid flow and pressure drop calculations for liquid cooling systems.
• Develop and implement fluid-cooled solutions for electronics and automotive components.
• Conduct thermal simulations and physical testing to ensure compliance with performance standards.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Practical experience in thermal and fluid dynamics.
• Hands-on work with liquid cooling systems for electronics or automotive applications.
• Proficiency in CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, SolidWorks Flow Simulation).
• Knowledge of heat transfer principles and thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with material properties for thermal applications.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in designing cooling systems for high-performance electronics such as gaming PCs or servers.
• Exposure to electric motor cooling or automotive thermal systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mountain View, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
