The Material Trial Engineer plays a crucial role in the successful execution and management of material trials across our stamping facilities. This position is responsible for orchestrating the entire trial lifecycle, from proposal facilitation and master data coordination to material logistics, feedback collection, and cost reimbursement. The coordinator ensures seamless communication among stakeholders and supports the timely tracking of trial progress to optimize material validation and implementation processes.
Facilitates trial proposals.
Establishes points of contact for phases of each trial.
Coordinates Trial System Master Data.
Coordinates timing of material orders with MP&L.
Collects trial feedback from points of contact.
Facilitates Material Trial Cost Reimbursements Requests.
Assists TLTS Specialist with the scheduling and coordination of TLTS Meetings at the nine stamping facilities to track trial status updates on a monthly or bi-weekly basis

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Materials, Mechanical, Industrial), Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- (Preferred) Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 3 years of experience in project coordination, supply chain, material management, manufacturing operations, or a related technical role within an industrial or automotive setting.
- Proven experience in coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Experience with material testing, validation, or trial processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with stamping operations or metal forming processes is a plus.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying information to diverse audiences, including technical teams, logistics, and management.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments (e.g., Engineering, MP&L, Finance) and external suppliers.
- Data Management: Proficiency in managing and maintaining master data, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying potential issues and collaborating to find effective solutions.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical specifications related to materials and manufacturing processes.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management software or ERP/MRP systems is an asset.
- Meeting Facilitation: Ability to effectively schedule, coordinate, and facilitate meetings, ensuring productive discussions and clear outcomes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills to collect and interpret trial feedback and cost data.
- Adaptability to respond to changing priorities and dynamic project requirements.
