Job Summary: Leads, directs and coordinates all employee relations functions for the organization in accordance with the law, policy, and Cares Culture principles. Directs the activities of the Employee Relations team, Leave of Absence programs, HR Generalist and HR Assistant duties. Leads or provides oversight on HR investigations. Counsel leaders/HR staff on appropriate disciplinary action and termination decisions. Provides oversight for leave of absence programs. Reviews employment data and trend analysis and provides recommendations to improve staff retention and turnover.
Qualifications: Requires 5 years of HR experience which includes progressive Employee Relations experience and a combination of leave of absence management, compensation, regulatory, or HRIS experience. Experience is defined as conducting employee/HR investigations and interviews, navigating ADA accommodation request, managing employees through leave of absence processes, ensuring compliance with Title VII, FLSA, and other prohibited practices, and a strong understanding of compensation best practices and HRIS systems. Requires 2 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in a health care setting. Must obtain PHR, SHRM, or other recognized HR certification within 18 months of hire. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
