Job Summary
As a licensed clinician, the Manager of Clinical Program Management is responsible for leading and managing the success of clinical programs and/or clinical performance initiatives at a regional/system level. Ensures programs are aligned to the mission, vision and core values of BSWH and meet all regulatory and quality standards.
Essential Functions Of The Role
In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, oversees the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, multidisciplinary clinical programs driving improvement in quality, utilization management, systems management and outcomes management, etc.
Researches and maintains knowledge of current evidence-based practices and works with multidisciplinary teams to build a replicable model for evidence-based clinical programs and guidelines.
Significantly contributes to or leads regional and/or system performance initiatives (e.g., provider performance) by analyzing and interpreting quality and utilization management issues, reviewing clinical documentation, identifying trends, and recommending process changes, staff training, etc.
Oversees the creation of clinical program tools, reporting and resources (e.g., EMR enhancements, workflow enhancements, etc.) and standardization of education materials at a regional and/or system level.
Acts as a trusted change agent, subject matter expert (SME) and liaison to multidisciplinary teams and internal/external stakeholders.
Manages assigned staff which includes accountability for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, orientation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Seven years of experience in the healthcare industry
Project And/or Program Management Experience Required
Process improvement and/or quality improvement experience required
Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while balancing multiple demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills with ability to exercise sound judgement
Superior problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals
Solution oriented and demonstrates flexibility in problem solving, using collaborative techniques to identify performance problems and implement solutions
Able to present a professional product to multiple levels of leadership including senior leadership.
Skill in the use of computers and related software
PMP certification preferred
