- Operate various machines at an advanced level according to standard operating procedures.
- Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies.
- Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs and workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and machine performance.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and suggest continuous improvements.
- Proficiency in CNC Mill or Press Brake machine operations.
- Experience working with sheet metal, cut, pressed, and punched to strict tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
- Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience training and mentoring junior staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in machine operations, preferably with press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears.
- Commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement.
