Position Summary
Are you a logistics leader with a passion for efficiency and innovation? Join our team as a Logistics Manager at our new modular construction manufacturing site! This is a high-impact role where you will oversee logistics operations, manage a team, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Position Details
- Oversee vehicle traffic and shipments in and out of the facility.
- Manage local logistics movements between on-campus facilities.
- Drive efficiency and innovation in logistics processes.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on vendor performance to optimize operations.
- Partner with operations to manage inbound shipments from international suppliers.
- Lead and be able to influence a logistics crew of 12-15 unionized and non-unionized members.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on high performance.
- Ensure efficient handling of large shipment volumes while maintaining operational excellence.
- 5 years of logistics experience, including team leadership.
- Experience working in a union environment (preferred).
- Background in FedEx or DSL logistics is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
