Key Responsibilities
- Process and correct loan files to meet 24-hour closing deadlines.
- Review and update Cash to Close, DTI, and Seller Credits at closing.
- Restructure loans based on last-minute changes and investor requirements.
- Analyze borrower documentation including credit reports, bank statements, and income verification.
- Apply Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Perform clean-up tasks on partially processed files; no single owner per file.
- Add loan conditions and initiate chats with Branch Operations for resolution.
- Work through a “get next” pipeline with up to 130 guideline reviews per day.
- Ensure all changes and updates align with investor standards.
- 3–5 years of loan processing experience in mortgage lending or credit unions.
- Strong understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.
- Experience with VA and FHA loans, including COEs and funding fees.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
