Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, law, communications, or a related field.Experience:
- Legislative or policy experience, often working in government offices, advocacy organizations, or legislative research roles. Will consider other factors in lieu of legislative / policy experience
- Strong background in drafting legislation, policy analysis, and understanding the legislative process.
- Experience managing legislative staff and coordinating with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and lobbyists.
- Familiarity with New York State legislative procedures, committees, and political environment.
- Skills in strategic planning, communication, and leadership.
