The Job
As a Lean Engineer, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:
- Facilitate kaizen events and other lean initiatives such as 5S, one-piece flow, standardized work, Kanban.
- Utilize knowledge of value stream mapping; project management; data collection and analysis; and development and implementation of process improvements to drive change.
- Perform workplace audits and value stream mapping.
- Provide training and coaching for project sponsors, leaders and teammates on Lean leadership.
- Lead project teams to deliver project safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Report on project progress to process owners and other appropriate leadership levels at regular intervals.
- Support the business in establishing “best practices”
- Support, comply and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards and regulations, as well as other company policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with proven experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing initiatives in a production environment.
- Demonstrated track record in process improvement, conflict resolution, process design and change management.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six Sigma experience preferred
