We are seeking Specimen Processing Specialists/Lab Assistants to support our consumer genetics group during its peak season and assist with a special project. You will be part of a team dedicated to helping people discover their ancestry and understand their genetic health risks.
Responsibilities
You will work in a lab setting, discarding old samples and preparing samples for shipment to another biobank. The position offers multiple shifts: Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, 3 PM to 12 AM, and 12 AM to 8:30 AM. Alternatively, a shift from Friday to Monday from 8 AM to 6:30 PM is available.

This is a Contract position based out of Burlington, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $20.25/hr.

- Perform required QC/QA duties including error detection, maintaining records/logs, and pulling samples for rework.

- Experience in sample preparation and accessioning is a plus.
- Familiarity with pipetting, chemistry, and biology is beneficial.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in a science-related field is preferred but not required.
