The Junior Design Engineer Intern will support the design, documentation, and field execution of Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role provides hands-on exposure to both engineering design and on-site activities while working closely with the engineering and operations teams.

The Junior Design Engineer Intern will support the design, documentation, and field execution of Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role provides hands-on exposure to both engineering design and on-site activities while working closely with the engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical and electrical circuit design and participate in design reviews
- Support control system design and drawing development using AutoCAD
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and review of construction plans and specifications
- Support field inspections and testing to verify system performance and compliance with project requirements
- Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
- Participate in field activities including site investigations and on-site observations
- Collect, organize, and document technical data accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Bluebeam or equivalent document review software
- Academic or practical experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Visio, or comparable drafting tools
- Experience working on independent and team-based projects involving mechanical design, electrical circuit design, and/or robotics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Major: Computer Science and IT with mechanical aptitude, as well as Industrial and Process Controls.
