Amentum is currently seeking a Junior Dev Ops Engineer to join our award-winning team. Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and 1-2 years of experience or Master's degree and 1 year of software development experience.
Junior Dev Ops Engineer Responsibilities Include
- Supporting analysis of software performance characteristics in the software development life and test cycle, to measure the computer processing time usage and come up with better methods of disk space utilization, network loading and throughout.
- Enabling design, code and maintenance of software support tools and models
- Supporting the analysis of tools to aid in the software development process including test automation tools, code coverage tools, and memory checking tools.
- Primary work location will be at Dahlgren Naval Air Station, VA area with occasional travel opportunities.
- US Citizen AND Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, IT Systems, Business Systems or Related Field) or 1-2 years Agile industry experience in a technical capacity.
- Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.
- Experience with tools such as the following.Systems Task Management: Python, Scripting such as Bash, CSH, Perl, Awk/SedCI/CD Platforms: Gitlab CI/CD, JenkinsCode Quality/Analysis: SonarQube, CoverityContainerization: Docker, Podman, Buildah, Kubernetes, RancherOSConfiguration Management and Deployment: YAML, Ansible, TerraformEnvironments: Linux such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, Fedora, RPM based distroProgramming Languages: C , Python, Rust
