Salary: $27.37- 35.04/ hour

Schedule:Flexible schedule between the hours of 8AM-6PM, Monday- Friday

Location: Garden City, NY

Reports to: Accounting Manager

What Drives The Core Purpose Of This Job

The Junior Accountant is responsible for accounts receivable functions and for being the first-line agency liaison to EAC Network’s funders for assigned program contracts.

What Are The Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable- creation and booking as assigned of certain predetermined claims (billing) associated with program contracts, including closeouts.
• Tracking and reporting of program expenses against the contracted budget.
• Assist with Finance department filing.
• Perform all other relevant duties as determined by supervisor.
  
  

What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

• 3 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a not-for-profit setting required.
• Basic knowledge of accounting debits and credits.
• Payroll processing experience a plus.
• Possess good math skills, with an understanding of percentages and allocations.
• Proficient with computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office.
• Possess good communication, organizational, and data entry skills.
