About The Role

We are looking for a Job Captain III to join a collaborative architecture team focused on high-density multifamily housing, including podium and wrap projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical coordination and delivering high-quality design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce complete Construction Documents from SD through CA phases.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and agencies to resolve design and technical issues.
• Prepare detailed plans, sections, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Research codes (IBC, CBC, ADA/FHA), manage permit submittals, and ensure compliance.
• Oversee quality control, scheduling, and project documentation standards.
• Support Construction Administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and attending site visits.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Job Captain or Technical Design on podium and wrap multifamily projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of construction types I-V and multifamily building systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards (IBC, CBC, ADA/FHA).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture; licensure or active pursuit preferred.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Work on mid-rise podium and wrap projects at 100 units/acre density.
• Familiarity with mass timber or high-rise systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
