Located in Irving TX, the IT Operations team is responsible for CED’s data centers and IT infrastructure supporting our 700 locations across the country, as well as the CED Service Center. The successful candidate will have experience providing support for and maintaining data center IT infrastructure and Microsoft technologies. CED is focused on finding the best talent as we continue to grow and build upon the success that was started in 1957.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in various IT operations disciplines including Active Directory/identity management, LAN administration, desktop support, email systems, backup systems, monitoring and alert systems, server administration and storage device management.
- Physical qualifications required to perform the job function to lift 25 lbs., climb stairs, sit for long periods of time.
- Proficiency to read, write and communicate orally the English language, especially I.T. technical terms and concepts.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Competence to operate a personal computer, printers and external computer peripherals.
- LAN specialization and knowledge of modern Wi-Fi capabilities
- WLAN installation/support/troubleshooting including controllers and Access Points
- Previous experience with Fortinet systems (e.g., Firewalls and AP’s)
- Previous experience with predictive Wi-Fi surveys (e.g.,Tamograph, Ekehau)
- Experience with utilizing support ticketing systems (e.g., Fresh Service*)
- Must possess ability to work under pressure.
- Must possess ability to multi-task.
- Ability to organize multiple work tasks and prioritize them to meet specific deadlines.
- Established experience and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Confidence interacting with a wide range of people from clerical staff, network specialists, developers, senior management, and vendors.
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Office environment, with minimal travel required
- Requires occasional after-hours and weekend work.
Essential Job Functions
- Join kick-off calls for each Profit Center engagement
- Coordinate all collateral and details required for analysis
- Manage all shared data repositories
- Manage workload via Monday.com boards and Fresh Service ticketing system
- Prepare predictive survey of field Profit Centers
- Prepare recommendations for Wi-Fi deployments and custom infrastructure packages for each unique location
- Assist Profit Centers facilitate hardware procurement
- Assist Profit Centers with vendor installer questions to complete readiness tasks
- Assist in documentation updates for runbooks and other SOP’s tied to the WMS initiative
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Coordinate with other teams on location schedules for go live dates
