The City of Tacoma Information Technology department is hiring a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an IT Analyst (Application Development Systems Analyst, ADSA). This position will participate in the growth, enhancement, and maintenance of the City’s Accela Civic Platform enterprise-wide software application used for permitting and inspections. Success in this position requires the ability to work in a team setting, multi-task, and deploy excellent communication skills when working with both business process owners and team members.

Responsibilities
- Analyzing technical and business requirements as compared to the Accela system capabilities
- Build and maintain configurations in the Accela Civic Platform and other associated 3rd party software
- Participate in research and suggest alternatives to improve performance, increase productivity and efficiency, and preserve system integrity
- Develop and maintain documentation and technical blueprints which provide the basis for development
- Design and implement custom queries to extract Accela data into reports primarily using Crystal Reports
- Participate in some custom application development using APIs
- Provide technical support to end users
