The Mom's Meals Summer Internship Program is a paid project-based 12-week program beginning May 18, 2026, and ending August 7, 2026. Our project-based internship program provides participants with the training, coaching, and hands-on experience to be successful professionals in their chosen fields. Our internship assignments focus on practical, value added projects that help create a connection between what is learned in the classroom and what is required in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
Internship location will be onsite in our corporate office in Ankeny, IA, and working a hybrid schedule is acceptable. Preference will be given to local candidates to the Des Moines, IA area.Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

- Assist in the administration and maintenance of HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving HRIS-related issues
- Support projects related to compensation
- Contribute efforts in data and pay analysis related to compensation
- Assist with timely and accurately processing payroll master data and payroll processing
- Provide prompt customer service with payroll questions and payroll-related policy questions
- Help process employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
- Support employee communications by answering basic benefits-related questions and directing complex issues to senior staff for resolution
- College Junior or Senior at time of internship currently pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.8 or higher
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
- Professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt
- Exposure to data management, analytics and reporting
- Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
