Required Skills
Hardware Systems Engineer Intern Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain tools and automation frameworks to support hardware and system validation across Meta's infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, mechanical, power, thermal, and software engineers) to understand and optimize system architecture and performance
- Design, implement, and execute test plans for hardware products and server systems throughout the product lifecycle
- Analyze data from large-scale server fleets and diagnose hardware and system failures using data analytical tools
- Interface with internal and external teams to integrate and connect test frameworks and tools
- Document and communicate findings, test results, and optimizations to team members and stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with object-oriented programming and coding in languages such as Python, Rust, Go, C , Java, PHP, or Ruby
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
- Intent to return to degree program after completion of the internship/co-op
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with latest server and CPU architecture and system-level components
- Experience in hacking, prototyping, and/or overclocking or related work
