As a Government Affairs & Policy Intern, you will support our dynamic team in advancing GE HealthCare's public policy priorities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health policy, advocacy, and government relations at both national and global levels.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and summarize Congressional hearings, briefings, stakeholder meetings, and other relevant events.
- Conduct research on key policy areas including health AI, cybersecurity, international trade, supply chain resilience, and health economics.
- Represent GE HealthCare at industry trade associations and coalition meetings.
- Draft communications for the GE HealthCare PAC and Advocacy Network.
- Collaborate with internal teams to raise awareness of policy developments impacting our business and markets.
- Lead or contribute to projects aligned with GE HealthCare's public policy goals.
- Provide general support to the Government Affairs & Policy team as needed.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (any major is welcome; coursework in public policy, political science, health sciences, or related fields is a plus).
- Ability to work in-person at our Washington, DC office during the Fall 2025 semester.
- Strong interest in public policy, healthcare, and advocacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in policy, government, or advocacy settings is a plus but not mandatory.
