We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join our team in sunny Grand Prairie, Texas!!
What You Will Be Doing
This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:
The M&S Engineer must be able to work with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C models, and actual tactical software into the simulations.
The M&S Engineer must be proficient in C and MATLAB. The candidate must have good communication skills and must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

- Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
- Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.
The M&S Engineer must be able to work with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C models, and actual tactical software into the simulations.

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
- Must have a college degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar field
- Experience modeling complex RF and IR sensor systems
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Willing to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment
- Professionally demonstrated proficiency in C and Matlab
- Professionally demonstrated the ability to develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
- Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills
- An active U.S. DOD Secret clearance with an investigation date in the last 5 years
- Advanced proficiency in C
- Experience operating in Linux environments
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience deploying algorithms and models that satisfy real-time performance requirements
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
Clearance Level: Secret
