Job Title:GIS Analyst
Overview
Join one of the region's largest gas utilities as a GIS Analyst, where you'll play a key role in supporting engineering and construction management teams by maintaining and enhancing our Geographic Information System (GIS). This position is ideal for someone with a strong GIS background and a passion for utility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assignments using WG ARM, SW, and AppEx platforms.
- Maintain and update GIS data within the Smallworld environment.
- Serve as a system tester for the UOX GIS Migration project.
- Assist with data migration and data cleansing initiatives.
- Support and drive the completion of ongoing GIS-related projects.
- 1-3 years of experience in a GIS-focused role.
- Background in the gas utility sector.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geology, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcPro and ArcGIS.
- Familiarity with Smallworld and gas transmission/distribution systems.
- 3 years of hands-on GIS experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-office presence required 2-3 days per week.
- Core working hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
- Reports to the Manager of Operations Geo Spatial Mapping.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
