Pay: $18/hr



Job Description

Join our dynamic service team as a Service Technician, where you will play a vital role in mounting and dismounting tires along with performing various other essential tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform 24-hour Emergency Road Service and be in rotation for on-call and back-up duty, aiming to complete all road calls within 2 hours.
• Be proficient in the duties of Inside Service Personnel.
• Mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair truck tires at various locations using a service vehicle or in a service shop.
• Utilize hydraulic jacks, air tools, and heavy hand tools to raise vehicles and repair truck tires.
• Remove or replace mounted tire assemblies from vehicles.
• Identify repairable tires and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized service department.
• Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders, and invoices.
• Perform tasks safely and efficiently, using provided safety equipment, and report any issues with tools or equipment.
• Conduct daily maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment, and clean the service vehicle weekly.
• Quote product and service prices to customers as needed and complete service work orders with detailed information.
• Ensure all products leave with proper paperwork and report any violations of safety rules or company policies.
• Complete and submit Vehicle Maintenance Reports weekly.
• Keep the service vehicle organized and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• Ensure customer safety by keeping them away from the servicing area.
• Perform miscellaneous job duties as needed to provide prompt customer service.
  
  

Essential Skills

• 1 year or more related work experience is helpful; training will be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions in various forms, including written, oral, or diagram.
• Computer literacy with training provided as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Capability to operate lift gates, service trucks, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges, mounting and balancing machines.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable with repetitive lifting of 60-75 lbs.
• Proficient in proper lifting techniques.
