Required Qualifications Of The Front Office Medical Receptionist
- 2 years of recent high-volume medical front office experience required
- Scheduling and referrals experience required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Greet and check in/check out patients
- Collect detailed insurance information, registration forms, and copays
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Answer incoming calls
- Schedule/reschedule appointments
- Obtain prior authorizations and enter charge entry data as needed
- Other duties as assigned
