- Designing and implementing detailed, often complex, formulation R&D programs consistent with approved business cases for active ingredients and formulations.
- Executing formulation R&D projects, both regional and global, to achieve company objectives and communicate project status through technical reports and presentations.
- Conducting and interpreting experiments to advance formulation development while ensuring registerability and manufacturability of the developed products, and analyzing variables and deviations in samples, procedures, and equipment to recommend necessary changes.
- Preparing and evaluating experimental formulations using various formulation equipment and procedures, and evaluating formulations using standard physical, chemical, and biological methods.
- Operating and maintaining formulation equipment, and utilizing existing and implementing new formulation and application technologies within a development program.
- Participating in the scale-up and manufacturing launch of the developed products, and providing technical and commercial support after market launch.
- Possess a B.S. in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or biology with 3 years of hands-on practical industry experience in an R&D environment, or an M.S. in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or biology.
- Have formulation development experience, preferably in Crop Protection, and demonstrate knowledge of formulation technologies (granulation, emulsion, encapsulation, adjuvantation) based on practical use of physical chemistry properties and methods.
- Show a demonstrated record of achievement for formulation research and development from discovery to commercialization phases, and exhibit a proven ability to lead, plan, coordinate, and complete research projects on difficult problems with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a track record of generating new innovation and application of cutting-edge technology, and display a serious safety focus, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Prepare and evaluate experimental formulations using various formulation equipment and procedures, and evaluate formulations using standard physical, chemical, and biological methods.
- Have experience interfacing with R&D and Manufacturing departments through past roles, and participate in the scale-up and manufacturing launch of the developed products, providing technical and commercial support after market launch.
