We are seeking a skilled Finishing Operator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery in accordance with company standards.
- Perform make-ready, adjustments, and run jobs efficiently to meet safety and productivity standards.
- Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
- Review job tickets prior to running orders.
- Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain logs and records of units produced, including errors resulting in rejected pieces.
- Inspect equipment prior to use for proper setup and alignment; perform basic adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Ensure appropriate contact relief and machine hand-off during shift changes.
- Lead the crew, overseeing operator assistants, feeders, packers, and inspectors.
- Proficiency in machine operation and setup.
- Ability to inspect parts and perform data entry.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with production lines.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop alternative solutions.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Interpersonal skills to remain open to others' ideas and try new things.
