Job Summary
Oversees the delivery of project and program management services to an organization implementing large scale, strategic, cross-functional, cross-market IT investment programs. Oversees multiple large-scale programs for assigned business initiatives from planning to completion
Directs the operations of multiple units and departments by identifying customer and operational needs, analyzing resources, costs, and forecasts, and incorporating them into business plans
Develops strategies and plans to optimize resource utilization, process standardization, driving cost reduction in program delivery
Serves as champion in driving support for business plans and priorities, translating business strategy into actionable business requirements
Drives overall resource management, setting standards and measuring progress.
Anticipates and removes obstacles that impact performance, addressing performance gaps and implementing contingency plans accordingly
Accountable for ensuring products and/or services meet customer requirements and expectations while informing and aligning to organizational strategies
Partners with other executive leadership, providing influence and consultation in the development of the larger organizational or business strategy.
Drives the strategy to maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning cross-functional resource plans with business objectives; overseeing the recruitment, selection, and development of talent; motivating and empowering teams; building organizational capacity and developing high potential employees for growth
Promotes, refines, and oversees adherence to established processes and policies (e.g., SDLC including domain).
Oversees the program financials of all projects/programs and ensures projects/programs are managed to budget allocations

Essential Responsibilities
- This position is also responsible for leading an enterprise team of shared project management and project coordination resources. This team will include resources assigned to support more than $300M of IT investment programs. This leader will also lead the project portfolio management, PMO and intake functions to address supply and demand, service level expectations, resourcing and career pathing for all members of the team.
- SHORT AND LONG-TERM ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Short Term:
- Build a world class, high performing project management and coordination team for IT Infrastructure projects across the program.
- Ensure day-to-day IT delivery of IT national and local investments aligns with KP Enterprise and Market business strategies.
- Long Term:
- Refine and enhance the alignment of project delivery with IT, market, and national function strategies.
- Strategically mature the delivery of projects and programs such that more automation and less human intervention is required to manage, analyze, and report on program/project status and information.
- Reduce the life cycle and cost of project delivery / increase time-to-market
- Identify best practice, opportunities for standardization and efficiencies
- Optimize size, composition, and service offerings of shared services organization, driving efficiencies and cost reduction
- Drive workforce development and sourcing strategy, ensuring all deliver at top of scope
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in leading project, product roll out, and support transitions in a complex, enterprise IT environment
- Bachelors Degree or four (4) years of directly related experience required
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- N/A
- Healthcare IT experience is a big plus
- Deep understanding of emerging and legacy technologies and relevance/applicability of that to a healthcare organization.
- Ability to conceptualize and anticipate business challenges to help plan future technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a complex environment with conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated ability to handle and to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to strike appropriate balance between hands-on and delegation to maximize productivity
- Proven ability to lead initiatives to define strategy in partnership with the cross-functional business and IT stakeholders.
