About The Role

You will actively partner across all business units at Walt Disney World and other environmental sustainability teams across the company to develop and optimize plans, influence decision making, and prioritize environmental initiatives.
In this on-site role based in Orlando, FL, you will report to the Environmental Sustainability Director.
What You Will Do
- Develop overarching strategy and roadmap to support Walt Disney World’s contribution towards the company’s environmental goals
- Research, design and develop environmental studies and KPIs for new projects supporting the environmental goals, which guides strategy development and decision making
- Build business cases and financial estimates for scaled implementation across multiple lines of businesses, and secure buy-in from key stakeholders and leadership
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO), which facilitates governance processes, identifies methodology and standards, oversees project development, and coordinates communication across cross-functional teams and executives
- In-depth knowledge of business operations with strong problem solving, leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Proven track record in excellent negotiation, communication and engagement at multiple levels, with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Conflict management skills to negotiate alignment with competing business priorities
- Experienced leading and facilitating meetings with partners to drive culture change and implement environmental initiatives
- Proficient in each of WDP&R's leadership competencies (Leadership, Management, Technical, and Relationships) Creatively resolve problems – sometimes in areas outside your realm of expertise – and work within a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous atmosphere
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, collaboration applications, and project management tools.
- On average, 20-30 hours per week doing field work, walking with partners onstage and backstage, performing studies, handling waste in a variety of different weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sustainability, engineering, analytics, business, project management, or related field or 5 years of related experience
- Master’s degree in related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification
