Location: On-site in Belleville, IL - THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

Schedule: Standard business hours, no weekends or holidays. Must be mindful of accounting deadlines and time off requests.

Job Summary

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

The Entry Level Accountant reports to and works directly with the Director of Food and Nutrition and Corporate Accounting Team. This position is on-site , at our account in Belleville, IL.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains financial and business transactions.
• Prepares and maintains client and financial account reconciliations.
• Assists with reporting to support month-end accounting close entries; prepares various account reconciliations.
• Assists with cash position analysis, check payments and various deposits, as well as purchases, expenses and trial balances.
• Compiles and reviews program revenue reporting and analysis for client programs.
• Supports the Accounts Payable function (e.g. check runs, review entries, etc).
• Develops and runs queries using Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Analyzes program financial information detailing.
• Serves as the point of contact for finance questions.
• Prepares other accounting-related reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
• Two years Accounting Experience
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
• Able to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Detail oriented team player with initiative.
• Working knowledge of SAP financial and/or Access
• Previous Accounting software experience
