Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently delivers Meta's services. Meta's Energy Team is seeking a commercially-experienced energy professional to help us grow and manage our wholesale electricity supply to ensure a reliable, cost effective, and sustainable service to our data centers with a focus in both regulated and organized markets.The Wholesale Supply Energy Manager will support the continued development and execution of Meta's global energy strategy centered on a supply portfolio of cost competitive, clean and renewable energy sources consistent with the company's overall strategic objectives. We are seeking someone with a proven track record of success developing wholesale portfolio strategies, demonstrating commercial, market, technical and financial expertise to execute wholesale capacity and energy transactions across electricity markets in the U.S., and in-depth knowledge of wholesale power market rules, regulations, and requirements.

Required Skills
Energy Manager, Wholesale Supply Responsibilities:
- In coordination with our market-participating affiliate, lead the identification, structuring, creation, development, and negotiation of opportunities to secure new cost-competitive sources of wholesale energy and capacity for Meta's operations
- Collaborate with internal organizations including sustainability, legal, tax, and finance to implement supply solutions
- Develop and grow relationships with key suppliers, developers, regulators, and other stakeholders in a variety of U.S. energy markets
- Participate in state or federal regulatory or wholesale market design processes by providing subject-matter input, industry perspectives, and comments to support reliable, cost-effective supply for new data centers
- Support continued evolution and execution of the wholesale supply strategy for domestic and potentially international data centers
- Stay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the energy industry and communicate key trends, risks and potential impacts to management
- Partner on various energy projects as needed, including feasibility assessments and commercial negotiations for projects in development
- Support continued development and delivery of Meta's energy supply strategy for data centers
- Travel domestically (10-25% at times)
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years experience in developing, acquiring, performing due diligence, and negotiating definitive agreements for utility-scale electricity supply projects
- Experience negotiating wholesale capacity and energy transactions and projects, including working with market participating affiliates, utilities, or power marketers
- Experience working with detailed financial models of energy projects and transactions, identifying key risks and sensitivities, and leading all related due diligence efforts (financial, commercial, technical, development)
- Detailed knowledge of bilateral and organized market constructs, rules, and regulations that impact wholesale supply opportunities
- Experience representing business interests to the leadership teams of potential suppliers, utilities, governments, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
- Experience in utility and grid interconnection, capacity accreditation, and wholesale electricity market transaction processes
- Experience leading negotiations and projects
- Experience in communicating commercial, regulatory, market, and contractual details to all organizational levels
- Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal staff, utility providers, consultants, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in standard document and analytics platforms (Excel, Powerpoint, Google Docs, etc.)
