Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and test embedded firmware using DSP chips for power electronics.
- Support and modify existing firmware and develop new firmware for motor drive applications.
- Generate documentation related to firmware and interfaces with traceability to various software plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in firmware development, C , and Embedded C.
- Experience with Modbus, bare metal firmware development for microcontrollers and DSPs, motor control design, and motion control.
- Expertise in SPI, NXP, and DSP firmware.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Lead Engineer position requires 8 years of experience.
- Staff level Engineer position requires 3 years of experience.
- Experience in bare metal firmware programming of microcontrollers.
- Ability to write low-level device drivers.
- Familiarity with Modbus, SPI, RS485, XCP, and CAN Bus J1939.
- The work environment is collaborative, with engineering teams from different disciplines working closely together in a Waterfall methodology.
- This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both new product development and next-generation high power technology, with the engineer's work directly impacting products that go to market.
