Electronics Test Technician - Miramar Location - 9x80 Work Schedule - $28/hr-$34/hr
Job Description
As an Electronics Test Technician, you will be responsible for building complex racks with fiber and copper cables, as well as multiple sub-assemblies. You will pull parts for sub-assemblies and integrate them into rack-based systems and enclosures. Your role will require you to perform mechanical assembly, test and repair subassemblies or cables, and create installation instructions for field personnel. A strong understanding of electronics and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings are essential.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Build complex racks with fiber and copper cables and multiple sub-assemblies.
- Pull parts and integrate subassemblies into rack-based systems and enclosures.
- Perform mechanical assembly of equipment using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures.
- Test and repair subassemblies or cables to the component level using instruments.
- Route cables in electromechanical equipment racks.
- Work from written procedures, schematics, sketches, blueprints, diagrams, and technical orders.
- Perform Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) using test instruments like oscilloscopes and electronic voltmeters.
- Create installation, removal, and testing instructions for field personnel.
- Install all hardware, cables, and subassemblies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electronics and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- 5 years of experience in assembling electromechanical assemblies with a focus on cabling and wiring.
- Knowledge of schematic, repair, dimensional inspection, and tolerances.
- Previous experience in Department of Defense electronics work is a plus.
- Industries such as Shipyard or Aerospace/Defense is beneficial.
