Job Description
Test Execution & Validation: Perform comprehensive functional and power testing on complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electronics control boxes, utilizing established written test procedures and safety protocols while actively contributing to their review, refinement, and improvement.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Lead failure analysis and debugging efforts on non-conforming hardware to determine root cause, utilizing schematics, layout drawings, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot down to the component or sub-assembly level.
Instrumentation Mastery: Expertly operate precision measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multi-meters (DMMs), signal generators, and programmable power supplies to verify system performance.
Data Integrity & Reporting: Meticulously record test data and maintain accurate records of product configuration and test results; identify trends in failures and report findings to engineering and quality teams.
Process Improvement: contribute to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) reviews by providing feedback on test procedures, fixture usability, and product buildability to streamline operations.
System Integration Support: Assist in the assembly of production quantum computers, including cable harness management and electromechanical assembly tasks.
Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment; support continuous improvement activities and ensure all test equipment is calibrated and ready for use.

Skills And Requirements
5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical or optical systems (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, or semiconductor capital equipment).
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wire lists, and mechanical assembly drawings.
Proficiency with standard electronic test equipment (scopes, meters, supplies) and soldering skills (SMT and PTH).
Experience programming and testing electronic devices using Linux/Unix command line interfaces.
Background in RF testing or high-precision analog control electronics.
