Meta is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management for our HEART Organization. The HEART organization (Hardware Engineering and Research & Development Team) at Meta is dedicated to imagining, building, and deploying industry-leading hardware systems that fuel Meta’s products and services for billions of people. Our mission is centered on two core pillars:1/ Delivering High-Performance Hardware Platforms:HEART is responsible for the design, development, and sustaining engineering of hardware systems across Meta’s infrastructure, with a particular focus on supporting AI training and inference at massive scale. The org aims to be a trusted partner to product groups by delivering platforms that delight customers and enable Meta’s future growth.2/ Driving Sustainability and Emissions Reduction:HEART is committed to supporting Meta’s Net Zero by 2030 goal. This includes setting ambitious targets to reduce the carbon footprint of Meta’s infrastructure, such as limiting average projected emissions per rack and executing initiatives like supplier engagement, server useful life extension, and memory reuse. HEART leads efforts to make carbon emissions estimates a standard part of hardware development and to develop new decarbonization solutions for the future.As a Director of Technical Program Management supporting these efforts, you will work in close partnership with hardware engineering, production engineering, product management and all other necessary stakeholders to build the next generation hardware powering Meta’s innovations.

Required Skills
Director, Technical Program Management Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the technical program management team, driving development of core initiatives and platforms for Meta’s growing Hardware Infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive awareness and buy-in throughout the organization
- Develop and execute end-to-end program plans, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of programs
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions
- Work with engineering and product management leadership to define and revise long-term strategy for the organization
- Perform people management responsibilities, including hiring, developing, and implementing organizational structure, delivering performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching
- Scale the organization to support multiple fast-paced product categories
- Articulate technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of the team
- Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Ensure what we build has the right balance of cost versus benefit, focusing on addressing highest priority partner team and customer needs
- Support the VP of Infrastructure Engineering in operational business rhythms, department processes, team project management, staffing, and budget planning
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience building and managing a team of Technical Program Managers, with a focus on hardware systems engineering, platform validation and large scale infrastructure development. Familiarity with custom silicon platform development and bring-up is preferred
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data center server hardware infrastructure to market, with expertise in areas such as: general compute and AI rack system architecture, power systems and power roofline modeling, liquid cooling, storage systems and front-end and back-end network design. Additional familiarity with component selection and qualification, manufacturing and supply chain management, regulatory compliance and certification processes is required
- Proven understanding of software development processes and best practices, with the experience in collaborating effectively with software, firmware and driver teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience growing organizations and developing a high-performing technical team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with interpersonal skills and experience managing complex cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and implementing cloud-scale solutions
- Master’s degree in a related field
