Overview

Touro University is seeking a Director to establish the Office of Student Success with a branch for Mentoring Communities and a branch for Career Advancement to support the enrollment, retention, and graduation of students. The Director will report to the Principal Investigator and is projected to supervise a Coordinator of Mentor Communities and a Coordinator of Career Advancement. The Office of Student Success is being developed under the U.S. Department of Education grant for the Title III Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP). The grant is designed to help IHEs "expand their capacity to serve low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability of eligible institutions." Touro's SIP program will take a community approach to ensuring student success that is fueled by real-world application and supported with layered mentoring from peers to alumni experts.

As the Director, you will oversee the direction and efficacy of Touro University's approach to student support and success, in particular as it relates to strengthening enrollment, retention, and graduation rates at NYSCAS. • Serve as the hiring manager overseeing the process for each Coordinator, Faculty Mentor, and Student Intern position needed
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of each staff member in the Office of Student Success in alignment with SIP goals and Touro University procedures
  • Facilitate ongoing office and individual team meetings at a cadence deemed necessary by the project focus
  • Grant Oversight
  • Regularly monitor project progress towards meeting the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Objectives and their enrollment, retention, and graduation targets using the formative and summative benchmarks
  • Direct the internal evaluation and coordinate the external evaluation of the project in collaboration with the external evaluator
