At Valet Living, financial performance depends on strong partnerships, disciplined execution, and scalable processes. As Director of Credit, you will lead the Credit and Billing/Accounts Receivable functions with a clear mandate: improve cash flow, reduce receivables risk, and build systems and teams that support sustainable growth.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Controller, this role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Accounting, IT, and executive leadership to drive operational excellence while maintaining strong controls, transparency, and collaboration across the business.

Compensation & Work Environment Details

Salary Range: $125,000 – $135,000 per year

Bonus: 15% of annual salary

Work Environment: Remote with 10% travel required

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and Own the Credit Function: Set and manage goals tied to key performance indicators including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), bad debt exposure, and credit limits while driving continuous improvement across the credit lifecycle.
  • Establish Credit and Billing Policies: Develop and maintain policies for billing, cash application, credit limits, credit holds, and collections to ensure consistency, compliance, and financial discipline.
  • Optimize Billing and Collections Processes: Design and implement scalable procedures and technology‑enabled solutions to streamline billing, collections, and credit limit management.
  • Partner Closely with Sales Leadership: Build strong working relationships with Sales management to support revenue growth while balancing risk, including collaborating on overdue accounts, contract changes, and large project impacts on collections.
  • Lead and Develop High‑Performing Teams: Manage, mentor, and develop the Billing, Cash Application, and Collections teams to ensure timely invoicing, accurate cash application, and effective recovery of overdue balances.
  • Drive Cross‑Functional Integration: Work alongside IT and Salesforce teams to ensure effective integration between Salesforce (CRM) and Oracle (GL), supporting accurate billing, reporting, and data flow.
  • Strengthen Cash Visibility and Forecasting: Ensure daily bank reconciliations are completed and reported accurately, while supporting the VP/Corporate Controller with cash forecasting and visibility.
  • Support Growth and Acquisitions: Partner on acquisition integrations to ensure new entities are successfully onboarded into billing, collections, and client communication processes.
  • Provide Executive‑Level Reporting: Prepare and present monthly Accounts Receivable aging to the CFO and VP of Accounting, offering insights into receivables health, trends, and risk exposure.

We’re Looking For

  • Strong Financial Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, with 5 years of billing and collections experience and at least 2 years of people management responsibility.
  • Process‑Driven and Analytical: Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to identify issues, design solutions, and drive measurable improvement.
  • Systems and Technology Savvy: Preferred experience supporting financial systems implementations and working across CRM and ERP platforms.
  • Collaborative Business Partner: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
  • Proven People Leader: Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and leading teams, with a passion for developing others and delivering high‑quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Hands‑On, Strategic Mindset: A “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” leader who can balance detailed execution with an understanding of broader business and financial objectives.

The final compensation offered will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
