Role Overview
We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Director of Internal Communications to join our Corporate Communications team. Supporting the SVP, Internal Communications, this individual will help inform, engage and connect employees to our story and culture at NBCUniversal. They will provide strategy and execution for employee messaging, content, campaigns and activations that bring company priorities to life and highlight the unique benefits and experience of working at a company like NBCU. An advocate for our company and our employees, the ideal candidate is passionate about NBCU brands and knowledgeable about our industry. They will also have exceptional judgment, excellent relationships and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner across Communications, HR and other company-wide functions to translate business priorities into clear and actionable communications campaigns and messages
- Strategic Advisor: Advise business partners, teams and employee groups on best practices for reaching and engaging with internal audiences, leveraging data, employee feedback and communications best practices
- Content development: Develop employee content for a wide array of internal channels including intranet, email, town hall meetings and digital signage
- Support planning and execution of town halls and other large-scale employee and leadership meetings, including coordinating with production and technology teams and conceiving key segments
- Employee Engagement: Conceive and execute high-impact employee engagement initiatives and activations that creatively promote business priorities, reinforce company culture, and drive connection across the organization
- 5 years of internal communications experience, with a proven track record of driving high-impact employee communications and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex communications programs
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Expertise in producing digital meetings and events
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
- Proficiency in internal communications, publishing and digital content management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Campaign Monitor, Slack)
- Passion for leveraging AI tools to streamline operations and workflow
