Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Call Center

Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in a fast-paced call center environment supporting healthcare-related inquiries. This role involves handling inbound calls and conducting follow-up calls to assist customers with prior authorization, general questions, and confidential information.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to accurately enter and manage information across multiple systems. You will be measured on quality and accuracy, with call volumes ranging from 50 to 100 calls per day, depending on complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and follow-up calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide accurate information regarding prior authorizations and general healthcare inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Accurately enter and update customer information in multiple systems
  • Meet performance metrics including call quality, accuracy, and productivity
  • Collaborate with team members and escalate issues as needed

Required

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of high-volume call center experience within the last 2-3 years
  • Stable work history (no jumpy resumes)
  • Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate multiple systems
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in healthcare, medical terminology, or related fields

Preferred

  • Prior experience handling confidential healthcare information
  • Familiarity with prior authorization processes
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

Assessment Requirements

Candidates will be required to complete the following IKM assessments:

  • Typing Test - One Space Version (1 minute)
  • Call Center - Telephone Skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
