The Corporate Communications Specialist is a key member of Signature Aviation’s Corporate Affairs team, responsible for developing compelling content and communications that inform, engage, and inspire a variety of audiences, including team members, partners, community leaders and media, to strengthen Signature Aviation’s reputation with key stakeholders. The role supports a wide range of communications needs, from executive messaging and internal campaigns to media materials and thought leadership content, and is instrumental in ensuring consistent messaging is aligned with Signature’s brand and business priorities. Internal Communications
- Develop and execute internal communications that align with Signature’s values, key story drivers, corporate narrative, and strategic initiatives.
- Draft, edit, and distribute employee communications, newsletters, announcements, and content for various internal channels.
- Partner with HR and Operations to promote employee engagement, wellness, recognition programs, and culture-building initiatives.
- Support change leadership and management communications to ensure clear, timely, and empathetic delivery of key messages.
- Draft and prepare high-quality executive communications for C-level executives, ensuring alignment with tone, message, and business goals.
- In partnership with the Director of Corporate and Digital Communications, develop press releases, media statements, executive talking points, and briefings when needed.
- Partner with the Corporate Communications team and senior leaders to create and manage thought leadership content, speeches, talking points, presentations, and Op-Eds for senior executives.
- Assist with media relations and corporate reputation efforts, ensuring alignment with broader communications strategies and key story drivers.
- Monitor the media inquiries inbox and voicemail to address media requests and ensure Signature’s response, serving as the media contact for inquiries on a rotational schedule.
- Contribute to external storytelling efforts, including community impact initiatives, people and culture, and sustainability.
- Support the Director of Corporate and Digital Communications in issues and crisis management, including the development of holding statements, FAQs, and coordinated messaging across stakeholder groups.
- In partnership with IT, build and maintain “dark site” webpages, email templates, and social-ready assets that can be activated rapidly during an incident or crisis communications.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications leadership to update and rehearse digital response playbooks.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
- Pull data from email, intranet, signage, and volunteer platforms; build dashboards and monthly reports with recommendations to improve engagement and ROI.
- Manage distribution lists in coordination with HR and IT to ensure accuracy and segmentation.
- Maintain and contribute to a consistent editorial calendar across corporate channels, ensuring a strategic cadence and message integration.
- Review and refine content to ensure brand tone, clarity, accuracy, and engagement across all materials.
- Collaborate with design and digital communications partners to produce visually aligned and high-impact content for both internal and external audiences.
- Produce or repurpose visuals, scripts, talking points, presentations, and video segments tailored to frontline and office-based audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related field
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, news/media, public relations, or related field
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and understanding of AP Style, plain language writing, and inclusive communication principles
- Experience crafting content for diverse audiences and formats, including email, presentations, scripts, and digital channels
- Experience in media relations, incident/issues management, or change management communications
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with communication tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Mailchimp, Canva)
- Familiarity with measurement tools and analytics for internal and external communications
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messages
