UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Citrix Systems Engineer for an on-site role in Long Island City, NY. LinkedIn profiles preferred. The right candidate will serve as the primary system engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining a Citrix XenApp environment supporting more than 500 concurrent users. The selected candidate will work as part of a small engineering team focused on Citrix infrastructure–related tasks and projects, including system upgrades, application delivery, and remote user support. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Citrix technologies, Windows-based environments, and enterprise remote access solutions.

Mandatory Skills/Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on technical experience supporting Citrix XenApp environments, including XenApp 7, StoreFront, and Citrix Web Interface
• Experience supporting Citrix environments with 500 concurrent users
• Hands-on experience administering and supporting Citrix NetScaler appliances
• Experience upgrading or migrating Citrix environments to Citrix SaaS or cloud-based infrastructures
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Terminal Services
• Experience with Windows Group Policy Objects (GPO) and registry configuration
• Hands-on experience with Windows PowerShell scripting
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise software distribution solutions
• Experience providing operational support for Citrix or other remote access–related services
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities
  
  

SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Serve as the primary system engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining the Citrix XenApp environment
• Maintain and support existing Citrix infrastructure, including XenApp 7 and NetScaler components
• Upgrade and migrate the existing Citrix environment to a Citrix SaaS-based infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, and support applications within the Citrix environment
• Manage and participate in daily remote user support activities
• Perform periodic system assessments and provide management with recommendations for upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance
• Ensure Citrix systems are operating optimally with high availability and performance
• Collaborate with other engineering team members to support and improve remote field site operations
• Follow and enforce established IT policies, procedures, and standards
• Efficiently manage and prioritize daily work queues and assigned tasks
