Essential Functions and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Position:
- Provide direct services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of assigned out-patients and Respite residents
- Provider emergency crisis intervention during routine working hours Provide on-call coverage during non-routine hours (as necessary) Follow established clinical practice guidelines
- Provide procedural services within the scope of specialty training and clinical competence
- Provide clinical supervision and consultation to treatment teams Provide education to the unit staff about relevant clinical issues in both formal and informal settings Participate in administrative duties as assigned.
- Communicate appropriately, following confidentiality guidelines, with internal and external providers to ensure quality and continuity of care Participate in the education of health professions students assigned to site rotations
- Medical record documentation will be in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain an active Pennsylvania physician/surgeon license, board certification in primary care specialty, and controlled substance registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Abide by the credentialing and re-credentialing policy.
- Maintain participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party payer programs as required by administration.
- Management of chronic diseases and commonly encountered outpatient acute medical conditions.
- Knowledge and competencies in understanding and collaborating with the region’s behavioral health and social service system.
- Comfort providing above services to individuals with severe/persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and housing instability.
- Unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician/Surgeon License
- DEA License to prescribe controlled substances
- Board-Certification in primary care specialty
- Current Clearances (PA Act 33 and 34, Act 114 FBI Check)
- Valid State-Issued Driver’s License
