This role is essential in helping students succeed academically and socially by reinforcing positive behaviors, assisting teachers, and creating a safe, supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support students with behavioral needs in classroom and school activities.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of teachers and specialists.
- Assist with classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed.
- Document observations and progress to share with the educational team.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to promote student success.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and safety standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current TB skin test or chest X-ray.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or behavioral settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to student success.
