Job Title: Architectural DrafterJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter with proficiency in AutoCAD to complete a full set of construction documents. The ideal candidate will have modeling experience with SketchUp and be able to execute construction documents for healthcare or commercial building projects. This role involves drafting existing conditions from site surveys, taking projects from schematic design through construction documents, and coordinating with consulting engineers. You will also develop construction detailing and specifications, manage construction administration tasks, research codes, and create realistic renderings for client presentations using Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Complete full sets of construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Model existing conditions from site surveys with SketchUp.
• Coordinate projects from schematic design through construction documents.
• Develop construction detailing and specifications.
• Manage construction administration tasks, including answering RFIs and reviewing submittals.
• Conduct construction site observations.
• Research building codes as needed.
• Create realistic renderings for client presentations using Adobe Creative Suite.
  
  

Essential Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in healthcare projects, mainly freestanding medical/health facilities and outpatient offices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for full construction documentation.
• Experience in project coordination with engineers, clients, and contractors.
• Strong background in architecture, construction administration, and project management.
• Skills in design development, schematic design, and construction drawings.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture developing construction documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Experience working on commercial buildings.
• Ability to use Revit, SketchUp, or 3D Studio Max for photo-realistic renderings.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
  
  

Work Environment

This firm is located in Red Bank, NJ and is expanding. With a fast-paced, dynamic work culture, the team consists of three members, including the principals. They specialize in healthcare projects, including renovations, new buildings, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and freestanding treatment centers within the tri-state area. The environment is engaging with opportunities to be involved in all project phases. Benefits include 2 weeks of PTO, 8 additional days off, and a 401k plan.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Red Bank, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.90/hr.
