Job Summary

Under the direction of a Licensed Electrician, the Apprentice Electrician will assist in maintaining electrical systems, identifying repair or replacement needs, providing necessary information on the proper uses of equipment, and ensuring adequate materials are available to complete assignments.

Job Duties

• Maintain a Positive Attitude with a Clean Professional Appearance.
• Assists with diagnosing problems and/or failures in electrical systems
• Display the ambition to achieve and willingness to learn.
• Assists in repairing various systems or components to include outlets, GFI’s, breakers, light switches, lighting installation, panels, grounding systems, etc
• Assists with replacement of wiring, smoke detectors etc., ensuring items are functional and in safe working condition
• Assists in locating and marking position for conduit or wire installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures
• Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of materials
• Attend departmental meetings
• Participate in periodic inventory and truck inspections.
• Explains each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed and ensures complete customer satisfaction
• Participate in all company sponsored training classes.
• Always maintain a professional image by: Wearing only company approved and provided Mr. Sparky apparel.
• Following safety policies and procedures.
• Abiding by ALL MSE standards of performance and code of ethics.
• Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• 1 years of experience in residential service and repair
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to perform multiple, technical tasks to include operating equipment, adhering to safety practices, and planning/managing projects.
• Customer Service Experience with Good Communication Skills
• Ability to perform algebra and/or geometry, read technical information, compose documents, and solve practical problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions
