Analytical Chemist | remote/part-timePosition Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Analytical Chemist to support analytical development activities from preclinical through clinical stages. This role involves close collaboration with contract manufacturers and service providers to ensure the integrity and quality of analytical data in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct QC review of analytical data for starting materials, intermediates/in-process controls, drug substances, and drug products, including batch release and stability testing.
- Review documentation and results related to reference standard qualification; oversee shipment, tracking, and inventory of reference standards.
- Support analytical development efforts at external contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and service providers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and correspondence to support analytical development.
- Ensure adherence to applicable quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of industry experience in analytical chemistry or a pharmaceutical laboratory setting.
- Basic understanding of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and spectroscopy.
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to interpret and review analytical data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
