Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
- Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural designs.
- Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
- More than 5 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
- Experience with Fibersim
- Experience using Teamcenter
- Experience with metallic and composite design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
