Department Summary
We study basic biology and immunology possibly related to inflammatory diseases. Our mission is to discover novel drug targets that drive diseases and develop therapies for unmet medical needs.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
The Opportunity
Required Education: Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student), at least 2 years in graduate school.
Required Majors: Molecular Biology or Immunology.
Required Skills
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.

The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Physiological Chemistry
Department Summary

The Opportunity
- Execute cell engineering.
- Run high throughput screens with CRISPR technology.
- Interact with cross functional team members and collaborators.
- Present data at laboratory meetings and journal club.
- Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
- Program start dates are in May/June 2026.
- A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
- Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
- Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Required Education: Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student), at least 2 years in graduate school.
Required Majors: Molecular Biology or Immunology.

- Basic computer skills.
- Basic mammalian cell culture.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret and present data at meetings.
