INFORMATION:
Morris Elementary is seeking a full-time teacher for the Integrated Preschool Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, creative and have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice for young
children. Current Massachusetts Licensure in Special Education Moderate Disabilities PreK-8, as well as SEI
Endorsement, is required.
Qualifications:
● Experience working in an inclusive/integrated preschool setting with students of varying abilities
● Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
● Strong understanding of social-emotional development and positive behavioral supports
● Experience collaborating with related service providers (speech, OT, PT)
● Ability to use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
● Strong family communication skills and commitment to building partnerships with caregivers
● Knowledge of Massachusetts Early Learning Standards / Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences
● Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum disorders and
communication delays
● Proficiency with assistive technology and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) is a plus
HOURS PER WEEK: Full-time
COMPENSATION: Per Unit A Contract – Exhibit A 2026-27 Salary Scale
Lenox Public Schools is committed to professional growth. Newly hired teachers are eligible for tuition and fee
reimbursement for a Master’s degree, equivalent to the tuition and fees at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, in
accordance with district policy.
